CertiK Moves Blockchain Applications to Alibaba Cloud

CertiK Moves Blockchain Applications to Alibaba Cloud

Blockchain security company CertiK has finished migrating its blockchain applications to the Alibaba Cloud for enhanced security in Asia.

CertiK, a blockchain security firm, has transferred its cloud infrastructure in Asia to Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing subsidiary of Alibaba Group. This strategic initiative aims to enhance the operational efficacy and security of CertiK’s blockchain applications in Asia.

This partnership represents a significant advancement in providing secure security solutions for cloud-based Web3 initiatives. Web3 cloud services are essential for securing and efficiently operating decentralized applications (dApps) across interconnected blockchain networks.

Alibaba Cloud and CertiK: Partnership Details

In May 2023, CertiK and Alibaba Cloud issued a joint press release that disclosed the specifics of their partnership. As a result of this agreement, Alibaba Cloud has integrated CertiK’s Layer 1 blockchain auditing services and smart contract auditing in its network.

This integration allows blockchain developers to optimize their development processes while guaranteeing their projects’ security on Alibaba Cloud’s scalable and secure platform, which CertiK’s advanced Security Suite powers.

CertiK’s team will supervise deployments on Alibaba Cloud, offering assistance to developers and businesses in the execution of secure cloud computing, the maintenance of high-uptime storage on the cloud, and the establishment of resilient infrastructure. Stringent security protocols will be maintained through continuous automated monitoring.

Penetration testing and the Skynet due diligence utility will be incorporated into CertiK’s Alibaba Cloud offerings. These revisions aim to guarantee that Web3 projects are adequately safeguarded against potential vulnerabilities by offering comprehensive security solutions.

CertiK

CertiK, established in 2018, is dedicated to protecting blockchain protocols and smart contracts. CertiK has established itself as a prominent figure in blockchain security by conducting audits on more than 3,500 blockchain projects.

The platform was recently embroiled in a controversy regarding a white-hat cyberattack on Kraken. A critical vulnerability in Kraken’s Digital Asset Exchange was identified by CertiK researchers, which could result in double-spending. CertiK claimed they were testing detection mechanisms when they exploited the vulnerability at least 20 times over five days.

Although all funds were ultimately reimbursed, Kraken expressed disappointment with the incident, underscoring the significance of prompt reporting and responsible disclosure.

Alibaba Cloud’s Web3 Partnerships

Alibaba Cloud is collaborating with blockchain platforms to accelerate the development of Web3 in the Middle East and Asia. Through its node-as-a-service program, developers could effortlessly deploy new validator nodes on Alibaba’s cloud platform in 2022 due to their collaboration with the Avalanche blockchain.

Furthermore, they have collaborated with the NEAR Foundation, which is responsible for the NEAR protocol, to expedite the expansion of Web3. This collaboration aims to accelerate the growth of Web3 by utilizing Alibaba Cloud’s developer ecosystem to streamline the deployment process for NEAR validators using their infrastructure. Alibaba Cloud aims to strengthen its position in the Web3 sector by forging these partnerships.
